• Type: Torque / contra spring — placed between the rear pulley and clutch. 
  

• Material & Build: High-carbon pre-tempered steel, heat-treated, and powder-coated (or kiln-painted) for durability. 

• Intended Use: For tuned/modified CVT setups or when stock contra spring is too soft or slipping.

•  Performance Effect:

  • Better Belt Grip: More consistent tension helps reduce belt slip under load. 

  • Improved Acceleration: Because it holds the belt tighter, it helps power transfer during high RPMs / high torque.

  • Trade-Off on Top Speed: If too stiff, it can restrict how far the belt can move outwards in the variator → may hurt top-end. 

  • Tuning Required: Best when paired with correct variator (rollers), belt, and possibly other CVT mods.
